The Fashion Design Department of Asia University invited jewelry designer Zhang Chaomin, who holds multiple roles as a jewelry restorer and gem appraiser, to give a lecture on the topic 'Principles and Practical Applications of 3D Printing in Jewelry Design,' enabling students to gain a deeper understanding of the application of 3D printing in jewelry design, as well as the diversity and innovation in the field of jewelry design.\

Designer Zhang Chaomin stated that modern jewelry design can utilize 3D modeling, which is more efficient compared to traditional hand-drawing methods. The advantages of using 3D printing technology to create models lie in the precision and speed of production. He shared from his self-learning experience that even non-professionals can learn 3D printing technology independently and introduced the basic principles and structural design of 3D printing, as well as its applications in jewelry design.

With his rich design experience and professional knowledge, Zhang Chaomin showcased a series of captivating examples highlighting the innovation and technology in jewelry design, allowing students to learn about the diversity and innovation in the field of jewelry design and inspiring them to explore and practice design in the future.

Lin Qingmei, Vice Dean of the College of Creative Design and Director of the Fashion Design Department at Asia University, stated that through Zhang Chaomin's sharing, students gained a deeper understanding of the applications of 3D printing, which will stimulate creative thinking in design. In the future, they plan to offer practical courses on clothing 3D printing, hoping that students will integrate 3D printing technology with their creative endeavors to inject more innovation into the fashion industry.
